Valley City Mechanical has been a lifesaver. They squeezed us in for a diagnostic on our AC the same day we called, the technician Dan was very thorough and talked through all our options honestly so we could make the best choice for our home in the short and long term. Molly in their office pulled some strings to get our install sooner than anticipated since we have little ones and it was going to be a hot long weekend. The day of installation, a part failed which meant we would have to wait until the original install date 4 days later but Dan stayed late to help install portable window units in our kids bedrooms, lended to us free of charge while we got through the long weekend. They went the extra mile to keep our kids comfortable while we waited for the new part! They also worked with us on AC/furnace install dates that fit our finances best. We got our AC installed smoothly as soon as the part arrived and we could tell Dan was as happy as we were that our AC was working again! Everyone we’ve interacted with has felt so genuine and determined to fix our problems, and that really sets VCM apart from others.

Needed a new motor. Quick diagnosis and even quicker installation! Barely had time to write a check! He offered to get the part and do it that night with an express fee! It was cold that day xDEdit: 4/28/25 New furnace; fuse popped, he was able to diagnose and replace the solenoid on the AC. Incredible.

Firstly, the technician discovered the problem with our furnace which was a difficult-to-diagnose issue. He recommended a replacement, and they were able to get it replaced quickly (which was critical during a Michigan winter cold snap). The follow-up in the spring to make sure the air conditioner was also functioning properly was also smooth. These guys just do good work, and they are super friendly.

We had our furnace fail on Sunday. I called Valley City Monday mid-morning and at 2:00 pm, John was over and diagnosed the problem. By 11:00 Tuesday morning, John was back with a new combustion air fan and had the fan installed and the furnace up and running in 15 minutes. Excellent response and service.!!
